Edward Chipps, DDS
Dr. Chipps earned his dental degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, after earning his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. Prior to entering private practice, he completed a general practice residency at Erie County Medical Center, where he received additional training in oral surgery and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Chipps is proud to provide his patients with the best in dental technology, treatment options, and patient comfort. His goal is to provide affordable comprehensive quality general dental care for the entire family, and it’s his pleasure to address all your questions and concerns. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northern District Dental Society, North Fulton Dental Study Club, Himman Dental, and CEREC™ Doctors Study Club. In his spare time, Dr. Chipps enjoys flying planes.
Kirstin Risse, DMD
Dr. Risse is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was granted the Wright Scholarship to attend UKCD after receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. She has made a significant commitment to continuing education in all phases of dentistry, attending the annual Hinman and Academy of General Dentistry meetings each year. She has gained extensive experience in children’s dentistry as well as restorative and cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign™ clear aligners and the use of BOTOX™ Cosmetic to treat TMJ pain. Dr. Risse is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Northern District Dental Society.
Dr. Risse was raised in Dunwoody and graduated from Dunwoody High School. She is happily married to her husband, Matt. She has three grown children, Patrick, Jack and Sam, as well as two rescue dogs, Jozy and Callie. They are long-time members at St. Brigid Catholic Church. In her free time, Dr.Risse enjoys running, playing tennis, golfing, and spending endless hours at the lake.
Kimberlyn R. Atherton, DDS
Dr. Atherton was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She received her undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Upon graduation from dental school, she served in the dental corps of the United States Air Force and was stationed in central Florida. Following completion of her military service, she practiced dentistry in Florida and Michigan. She relocated to Virginia with her family and owned her own successful dental practice in Blacksburg, VA for 12 years. She and her husband relocated to Georgia in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially improving smiles with crowns, bridges, and veneers. She has been a certified Invisalign provider for many years.
Dr. Atherton is married with two children and three parakeets. She is a huge NFL and college football fan. (Go Blue!) Her other interests include travel, jewelry-making, and decorating.
Tiara Fry, DDS
Dr. Tiara Fry knew she wanted to become a dentist ever since she was in middle school and her older sister became a dental student. She quickly fell in love with the idea of not only changing peoples’ confidence in their smiles but improving their overall health as well. She is newly married to her husband, Cole, and they currently have a rescue dog named Indy and a mini goldendoodle named Nala. In her free time, she loves to meet in Christian community groups, sing on the worship team at her local church, spend lots of time at the lake, and play pickleball with her husband and friends.
Dr. Fry grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Fry values establishing rapport with her patients by listening, understanding, and coming up with the best treatment plan that is most beneficial for the patient. Moreover, Dr. Fry is especially passionate about the aesthetics of dentistry and has a very particular eye for detail.
